Maeve Clancy from Oughterard, Galway will be presented with the 2018 ASTI Annual Scholarship Award at a reception in Dublin tonight.
Maeve is a teacher of Irish and Maths at St. Benildus College, Stillorgan.
The ASTI Scholarship Award assists ASTI members undertaking further third-level studies relating to the professional life of teachers and/ or second-level education. It aims to support research which has the potential to enhance the quality of teaching and learning in our schools.
Maeve is receiving the 2018 ASTI Scholarship Award for research she is undertaking on teacher shortages at second-level. The research is part of her MSc in Public Policy at DCU.
The ASTI Scholarship is determined by the ASTI’s Scholarship Selection Committee. The €4,000 award will be presented to Maeve by ASTI General Secretary Kieran Christie.
