In order to assist schools and educational services in meeting the needs of pupils requiring learning support and the teaching of pupils with special educational needs, the Teacher Education Section of the Department of Education currently funds the provision of a number of Post-Graduate programmes.
The Circulars and application forms for these programmes (0002/2022, 0003/2023) are available below:
• Circular 0002/2022 - Graduate Certificate in the Education of Pupils on the Autism Spectrum (AS) for teachers working with Pupils on the AS in Special Schools, Special Classes or as Special Education Teachers in mainstream Primary and Post-Primary Schools, 2022/2023
• Circular 0003/2022 - Post-Graduate Diploma Programme of Continuing Professional Development for Special Education Teachers, 2022/2023
Completed applications should be forwarded by post to the relevant college by the 11th March, 2022.
