The teacher unions (ASTI, INTO, TUI) are co-operating on a pilot project to increase awareness of health and safety legislation, including the role of Safety Representatives, in schools.
These seminars are open to Safety Representatives in schools who are members of any of the three unions, to other members with a particular interest in health and safety, and to officers of local ASTI, INTO or TUI branches.
The details of the upcoming seminars (from 5-7p.m. in each case) are as follows;
· Thursday 8 March – Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone (register by Monday 5 March)
· Tuesday 13 March – Sligo Park Hotel, Sligo (register by Friday 9 March)
Each seminar will commence at 5p.m. and will include input from speakers with specialist expertise in health and safety. A buffet dinner will be served at 7p.m.
