ASTI members are reminded to complete the survey on assessment in Leaving Cert subjects which has been emailed by RedC.
In September 2023, Minister for Education announced that as Leaving Certificate subjects are revised, there will be additional assessment components (AAC)* in each subject. These will be worth a minimum of 40% of the available marks and will be externally assessed. This survey aims to obtain teachers views on AACs currently in their subject area(s) and on the Minister’s proposal.
*Also referred to by teachers as second assessment component/coursework/project/practical. The survey will use the term AAC to refer to all of the above.
The survey should take less than 5 minutes to complete, depending on your answers.
The survey closes Wednesday, 27th November at midnight.
