The Department of Education has launched a public consultation to inform the development of a new policy for Irish-medium education outside of the Gaeltacht area. Strengthening the position of the language within our education system is a priority in the government’s 20 year Strategy for the Irish Language: 2010 -2030. Click here to view.
All ASTI members are invited to contribute to this consultation. The Department has published a report on current provision of Irish-medium education to assist in making a submission. The report and online questionnaire are available here.
