In 2022, the celebrations of World Teachers’ Day will focus on the theme "The transformation of education begins with teachers", highlighting teachers’ instrumental role in transforming education and will advocate for bold strategic actions by policymakers, teachers themselves and civil society. ASTI school staff can organise a staffroom cake during the week of World Teachers' Day and recoup the cost by submitting receipts directly to their branch treasurer. This offers ASTI staff an opportunity to welcome new members to the union.
