prescribed material for the Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate examinations
in 2024 is on the attached list.
(b) Requests the school authorities to give adequate notice of these texts to
students before the start of the relevant school year.
Circular 0033/2022 Permanent extension of the Employee Assistance Service (EAS) to all school staff employed in recognised primary and post-primary schools

The EAS had been available to all school staff on a temporary basis during the COVID-19 pandemic. This Circular advises that the Department is extending the EAS to all school staff on a permanent basis effective from the 2022/23 school year.

For the purposes of Section 24(2) of the Education Act 1998 (as amended by the Education (Amendment) Act, 2012), the allocation of teaching posts for the 2021/22 school year is calculated in accordance with the rules outlined in this circular and is based on recognised pupil enrolment on approved courses on 30 September 2021.
